More Birthday Cards

Hubby got some wonderfully creative cards from some of our very talented friends for his birthday and I wanted to share them with you.

The first one is from Brenda, owner of Stamper's Alley. The stamps are from Hero Arts and she did an awesome job with the coloring. What an adorable card! I love those little owls - I just might have to CASE (that means copy) this one, Brenda. But my coloring won't be as good, I'm sure. I still color like a kindergartner.

The next one is from Pat and Joe, but I don't think Joe helped with the stamping :-). I don't know who makes the stamps but they are too cute! The popcorn bag is embossed and the popcorn is cut out and popped up on pop dots - I love it!

This one is from Emogene and Buddy. Emogene always comes up with something totally unique! How cute is this?? Again, no clue whose stamps - I'm sure she told me but I have forgotten, sorry.

here's the inside:

Thank you all for making these wonderful cards for him, he really appreciated it, and so do I. You all do such great work! My birthday is coming up next month and I hope to have more wonderful cards to share with you all.

Happy Birthday!!

To my dear, sweet husband. Yesterday was his birthday and this is what he got (along with some sort of wheel thingie for his trailer):

There are more cupcakes but they wouldn't all fit in the photo. here's a closer view of the card:

BoBunny paper, SU stamp and punch, stars cut with a Sizzix die.

He had a wonderful day, and we went to dinner at Applebee's. Then today I sort of threw him a party at the coffee shop he goes to on Thursdays. He goes there other days, too, but he enjoys Thursdays not only because it's free coffee day but because there are alot more of his friends there. It is a very patriotic coffee shop which is frequented by alot of veterans, from WWII on. So, knowing that he would be there for lunch today I got some mini cupcakes, a birthday balloon, and a special cupcake for him and took them down there as a surprise. Boy, was he surprised! They all sang happy Birthday to him and gave him a hard time about being old (He's not old. Well, not real old - Hi, Honey!) A good time was had by all and I hope it is one birthday he will remember for a long time. I love you, sweetie!

Happy Birthday, Allison!

As you may know, Allison is the brains behind Stampin' When I Can and Stamping Links to Love and today is her 36th birthday! So the StampinGals and some other awesome blogger friends decided to throw her a virtual birthday party. First, a birthday card:

What's a party without a cake?? Here's a little something I just whipped up for the occasion:

I wish!!! It's one of those gorgeous cakes from the Charm City Cakes people but doesn't it look yummy? Almost too good to eat! Almost, but I would dig in anyway.

I wish you the best birthday ever, Allison, and many more! You are Da' Bomb!

Party on with these outstanding bloggers:

What's pink and green and scalloped all over?

This is:

Is it too much? I get a little carried away with that lacy scallop punch but it's just so pretty! I had some scraps left over and had to do something with them, so I scalloped them.

Not so many scallops here:

You can't really see it too well but those are pink flower gems on the tree. I love that little scrolly Hero Arts tree and it just had to have a scalloped edge to go with it, don't you think?? Ok, I will try to put the punch away and do something else next time, I promise.

We have a new addition to our family

Isn't he adorable??

We went down to Kitty City in Concord on Thursday evening to take a kitty condo that our cats had outgrown and this little guy just won me over. He is about 4 months old and a real sweetie. The other kitties aren't that crazy about him but Simon is adjusting pretty well. Miss Kitty doesn't like anyone except DH so I'm not surprised by that but she won't hurt him. She actually runs from him and she's 3 times his size! He's a real snuggler and will be a perfect addition to our family. We haven't decided on a name yet, we're waiting to see what fits him. Theodore, Spike....?

My son's former girlfriend, who is still a good friend of his, is graduating in July from Webster University with a Masters Degree in Counseling. Such an accomplishment deserves a special card and I hope this fits the bill for her. I went online and found what I hope is their school colors, and I hope I came close with this card.

Sam's graduation card

The stamp is from Stampendous and I have always loved that verse. Wordsworth made a beautiful one but I didn't buy it when I should have and now they are not available! I like this one just as well, though. The stars are a Sizzix die (since I don't have the SU star punch - yet) and the gems are Hero Arts. I hope she likes it :-)
