The Big Snowstorm of ‘09

Well, I know those of you who live up north won’t find this impressive but we were pretty impressed by it all – at least I was! Snow is a novelty for me and while it’s not something I would want to contend with for months on end, the occasional snowfall is a treat.

This was Sunday night about 10pm:

This is what we woke up to on Monday morning, about 6 inches of snow:

Those are tree branches, not shrubs. The bird feeder hangs from that branch to the far left, on a 5 foot chain. It’s sitting on the ground under that branch.

It’s all melting now and temps are supposed to be in the mid 70s this weekend so a little yard work might be in order. Sitting outside basking in the warmth is definitely in order! Enjoy!
