I was on a card making roll the other day, making cards for Operation Write Home. I saw this card on Becky’s blog and (yes, I have no original ideas) decided it would make pretty, quick cards. And it did, I think. See what you think.
This is Becky’s card:
Isn’t it gorgeous?? She made the panel with scraps. So clever!
Here are my interpretations of it:
This one was made with some scraps, the same way she made hers and I like it. It was a little difficult to get them lined up perfectly (OCD, me??), so the rest of them are made with patterned paper.
I think this paper is Basic Grey but I don’t know which paper pad it came from, sorry. This was the last sheet I had. The sentiment is from a new Hero Arts clear set.
I L-O-V-E this paper. It goes with almost any color and just looking at it makes me smile. Sentiment is PaperTrey. They are killin’ me with their new releases this month! New dies, stamps, inks …..*sigh*.
Dunno which paper this is, either, but the punch and the butterfly are Martha Stewart. Sentiment is Hero Arts.
Paper from Stamper’s Alley, Spellbinders butterfly (thank you, Angel), PaperTrey sentiment.
Unknown paper, Fiskars border punch, Hero Arts sentiment. Is this crooked or is it me? No, don’t tell me. I can’t do it over now. Must be my eyes.
Thanks for stopping by and please feel free to leave me a comment (hint, hint) :-D.
Fun cards, Jackie! I like how you can add in whatever punched border you're in the mood for; you really got so many different looks!
ReplyDeleteThe assortment of papers available now is mind boggling! Great cards, good job!
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome Jackie! And so beautiful! They are so colorful and make a wonderful card set. I have to tuck this away for later inspiration! It is so cool of you to do the cards for such a great cause! Best, Curt
ReplyDeleteGreat cards Jackie. Love the different papers and border punches! :o)
ReplyDeleteI love it when you get a layout/design that works and you get to use up a lot of scraps. I love these!
ReplyDeleteJackie,
ReplyDeleteGreat cards and what a great way use up scraps. Hope you have been great!
Hi Jackie, Love the cards and your inspiration... just a note, the second card paper is basic grey from the bittersweet paper set (cuz I have it too :) ... well, I actually think that the ribbons "slid" up a little high on your cards. Lower a little like the inspiration-card would be nicer (I think)... I hope you don't mind my feedback :) Anyway your cards are sweet. Love them and will be back at your site soon.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Love all of the creativity you added to this design! So many beautiful cards!!!!
ReplyDeleteJackie, these cards are terrific! Thank you for helping our heroes keep in touch with home!
